Ruth Goldman, 92, formerly of Kenosha, late of Lincolnwood, IL, passed away Wednesday, July 26th, 2006, at Lincolnwood Place in Lincolnwood, IL. Born October 7, 1913, in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late Isabore and Anna (Simon) Kartun. She came to Kenosha after her marriage, living here until she moved to Lincolnwood in 1996 to make her home. In 1939, she married Irv Goldman in Chicago. He preceded her in death in 1989. She was formerly employed at Great Lakes Naval Base for over 19 years. She was a member of Hadassah and President of O.R.T. (Organization of Rehabilitation & Training). Ruth was a wonderful cook and enjoyed playing cards. Surviving are two brothers, Harold (Muriel) Kartun of Lincolnwood, IL, and Dr. Lawrence Kartun of Upland, CA. She was preceded in death by a brother, Milton Kartun, and a sister-in-law, Barbara Kartun. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, July 30th, at Racine Jewish Memorial Cemetery at 12:00 noon.
