I am so sorry to hear about Irene. We worked with her at WLIP. She would always call me to see if the roads were to icey for her to come into work. Also I cooked country ham from Kentucky and Irene thought it was the best thing that she ever had. I know she will be greatly missed. I will always have great memories of her. My prayers are with each one of you during this time.

I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to know and work with such a wonderful woman. She defined the word professional in her work and was one of the classiest people I've ever known. My sincerest condolences to the Nelson family. Irene's death not only leaves a void at WLIP, but for everyone who invited her into their homes for nearly 60 years. God bless you, Irene.Bill Lawrence
