Richard L. AIELLO, SR.

Richard L. Aiello, Sr., 68, of Kenosha, died Monday, July 3rd, 2006, at his home. Born January 7, 1938, in Kenosha, he was the son of Louis and Ann (Scarlato) Aiello. He attended St. Mark School and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School in 1955. In 1965, he married Jill Anderson in Waukegan, IL. He was a member of the Wisconsin National Guard and was called to active duty with the 32nd Division at Fort Lewis-Washington during the Berlin crisis in 1960. He was employed at Warwick Electronics, Zion IL; Webster Electric, Racine; Peter Pirsch Inc., and North Central Fire Apparatus, Kenosha. As a member of the American Rose Society, he had been a Consulting Rosarian and an Emeritus Horticulture Judge. He was a founding and charter member of Gateway Rose Society. He is survived by his wife, Jill; his son, Richard, Jr. of Chicago, IL; his daughter, Elizabeth (Geoffrey) Olson of Round Lake, IL; his brother, Rev. John D. Aiello of Racine, WI; and his sister, Rita (Vincent) Seliga of Pleasant Prairie, WI. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 7th, at Proko Funeral Home at 10:00 am. Entombment to follow at All Saints Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Proko Funeral Home on Thursday, July 6th, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
