Ildo MICELI
Ildo Miceli, 80, of Kenosha, passed away Thursday, June 29th, 2006, at St. Catherine's Medical Center. Born in Marano, Marchesato, Province of Cosenza, Italy, on October 1, 1925, he was the son of the late Giuseppe and Maria C. (De Filippis) Miceli. He was educated in the schools of Italy, coming to Kenosha in 1958 where he has resided since. On December 4, 1955, in Italy, he married Irma Covelli. He started as a tailor's apprentice at the age of 10, later becoming a master tailor and teacher. In 1966, he opened a Tailor Shop and Photography Studio. Ildo and his brothers owned and operated Miceli Brothers Tailor Shop. He was involved in tailoring for over 60 years, retiring in October of 2005. He was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He was a soccer coach and involved in a band while living in Italy. He was a former member of the Italian American Club. He loved his garden and enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. Surviving are his wife, Irma; two sons, Dr. Giuseppe (Carolina) Miceli and Luigi (Adriana) Miceli, both of Pleasant Prairie; two brothers, Mario (Maria) Miceli and Francesco (Ada) Miceli, both of Kenosha; a sister, Vanda Parrone of Kenosha; and five grandchildren, Nicholas, Marco, Matthew, Bianca and Sabrina. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Maria, and two sisters, Enes and Celestina. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 3rd, at Proko Funeral Home at 9:30 am. Mass to be celebrated at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 10:00 am. Entombment to follow at All Saints Mausoleum.
