Rita Y. Mink, 83, of Kenosha, passed away Thursday, May 18th, 2006, at St. Catherine's Medical Center. Born in Kenosha on June 21, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Edvina (Hoeltz) Kerkhoff. She was a lifelong resident of Kenosha and attended local schools. In 1942, in Dubuque, IA, she married Robert Mink, they later divorced. She was employed by the family business, "Diamond's Jewelry Store", in Kenosha and also as a retail clerk for Montgomery Wards, retiring in 1980. Surviving are two sons, Alan (Sharon Eastwood) Mink of Beverly Hills, FL, and Gary (Dolores) Mink of Kenosha; four grandchildren, Donald Mink and Kristine (Andrew) Schweninger, both of Kenosha, Renee (Robert) Crosby of Shalimar, FL, and Christopher Mink of Tampa, FL; and three great-grandchildren, Davis and Kendall Crosby, and Andrew Schweninger Jr. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Deborah Miller; a brother, Eloy Kerkhoff; and four sisters, Leah Bostetter, Joan Hesselgrave, June Denton and Ruth Weiss. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 24th, at Proko Funeral Home at 7:00 pm. Interment will be private at All Saints Mausoleum.
