Christine Gannaway, 84, formerly of Kenosha, late of Lansing, IL, died on Monday, May 8th, 2006, at Community Hospital in Munster, IN. Born on August 22, 1921, in Kenosha, she was the daughter of the late Carmine and Filomena (Caputo) DeCesaro. She was educated in local schools. On May 11, 1946, she married the Robert L. Gannaway at Holy Rosary Church. He preceded her in death on April 19, 1986. Surviving is a son, Robert Gannaway from Lansing, IL; two sisters, Ida Gannaway of Kenosha and Josephine Brandes of Franklin, WI; and nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were two brothers, Arthur and Carmine DeCesaro Jr., and a sister, Carmella I. Fegan. Friends and family are asked to meet at Holy Rosary Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, May 12th, at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at St. George Cemetery.
