To the Hoffman Family, I am deeply sorry for the loss of your daughter, Patsy. I worked with Patsy at Harris Pet Hospital. Even though I only knew her for a few months, I could tell that she was a wonderful person. So full of smiles and always willing to lend a helping hand, she made my days at work very bright and fun. I will always remember singing and dancing to Britney Spears songs with her in the exam rooms after hours and letting her assist the doctors with all of the boxers that came in because I knew she loved them so much. I really enjoyed Patsy's company and will sure miss her. I will always have memories of the fun times I had with her. She was definitely an admirable young lady. You should be so proud! I will keep all of you in my thoughts...

Dear Tom, Susan, Megan, Martin and Christina: Pasty will be missed by many. Her love of life and willingness to share with everyone marked her short time with us. Everywhere she went, she left a lasting impression and I can only pray "The Lord bless you and keep you;The Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you;The Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace."Numbers 6:24-26My condolences,Chris

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Hoffman and Megan,I was truly stunned to hear the news of Patsy's death last Friday. Although I was her teacher for only three years, I can honestly say that she was one of the best students that I have had the privilege to instruct throughout my teaching career.Although you are already aware of how many people loved and cared for Patsy throughout her life, and the many wonderful things that she gave to others, I wanted to include an excerpt from a letter of recommendation that I wrote for her..."...I have instructed many students during my eleven-year career. I have written very few letters of recommendation that bestow upon a student the level of regard that I have displayed for Patsy...Patsy Hoffman is truly an outstanding student, a hard worker, and a person that has given a great deal to those that know and work with her. I am confident that Patsy will excel in any endeavor..."In my commencement address to Patsy's graduating class, which Patsy was unable to attend due to her military commitment, I spoke of the fact that everyone that knew and worked with Patsy would be with her after she left the KMA. I hope that you can find some comfort in the support given by everyone that knew and cared for your daughter.I am profoundly sorry for your loss.John Lovell

To the Family of Patsy Hoffman, I was scrolling through my 8th grade yearbook from my one year at GS Lance Middle and the first message I saw was from Patsy. I remember her well because, as the only Black girl in the grade, and being new to Wisconsin, it was hard for me to feel comfortable at Lance. Patsy was so kind and very down-to-Earth. I remember we both connected over a mutual disinterest in learning Spanish and socialized quite a bit in class. I appreciated that she was genuine in conversation and you raised her well. I was saddened to hear of her passing. I know it has been ten years, but she is not forgotten. It's incredible how such a short period of time spent with a wonderful person like Patsy can have such a lasting impact upon another. She was a gift whose empathy won't be forgotten.
