Raymond T. Cook, 90, formerly of Racine, late of Kenosha, passed away on Wednesday, April 5th, 2006, at Kenosha Medical Center. Born on December 12, 1915, in Racine, he was the son of the late John and Anna Cook. He was educated in the schools of Racine and has resided in Kenosha since 2002. He was enlisted in the U.S. Army from July 1942, and was honorably discharged in December of 1945. He achieved the rank of Sgt., Weapons Mechanic. He married Sophie Stupack. She preceded him in death. He had been employed as a bricklayer, and then in real estate as an agent for L. L. Freeman Realty. He was a member of the VFW in Racine, Racine Yacht Club and the Kenosha Senior Center. He is survived by his four children, Bradley and Bruce Cook of Racine, Camille Firehammer of Racine, and Michelle (Tom) Kirby of Tulsa, OK; a brother, Thomas (Joyce) Cook of Racine; and seven grandchildren, Heather Eckert of Kenosha, Ronald Eckert of Kenosha, Janet Cook of Florida, Zachary Firehammer of Milwaukee, Maxwell Firehammer of Milwaukee, and Travis and Grant Kirby of Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 11th, from the Proko Funeral Home at 9:30 am. Mass to be celebrated at St. Mark's Catholic Church at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove.
