Tillie Monnier, 74, of Kenosha, passed away on Wednesday, April 5th, 2006, at Kenosha Medical Center. Born in Waukegan, IL, on February 17, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Pauline Drenik. She had two brothers, Paul and Frank; and two sisters, Louise and Edith. She was educated in Waukegan schools and completed her education in Kenosha. She had lived in Kenosha since 1954. She enjoyed all types of music and often attended the Blues Fest's in Chicago. Some of her favorite artists include, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Clapton and Frankie Yankovic. She also enjoyed playing her accordion, particularly polkas. She was a member of the Kenosha Senior Center and attended numerous plays and musicals with the Senior Center. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She also had a love of nature and enjoyed the outdoors. She never missed an episode of Days of Our Lives and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed watching, NASCAR racing with her sons. She was also a member of the Polka Parade Pal Club. She is survived by eight children, James A. Monnier and Richard A. Truax, both of Kenosha, Patrick A. (Donna) Truax of Atlanta, GA, and Michael S. Truax, Bonnie J. (Tim) McGovern, Connie M. (Michael) Cody, Carole K. (Kevin) King and Mark W. Truax, all of Kenosha. Also surviving her are 11 grandchildren, Rebekah, Garrett, Carrie, Brian, Christopher, Amanda, Nicholas, Angela, Patrick, Andrew and Kayla; and six great-grandchildren, Samantha, Emily, Alex, Christa, Julianna, and Morgan. She is preceded in death by two husbands, Allen W. Truax and Robert J. Monnier, Sr.; a son, Robert J. Monnier, Jr.; and a great-grandson, Michael S. Allen. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 8th, at Proko Funeral Home from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm.
