To Dan Travanti. I'm sorry about your brother, Robert. I remembered he was your brother from our friendship during Jr. High and High School. I wish I could have been at the wake and gotten to talk to you. I have proudly followed your career and occassionally boasted that "I acted with Daniel J. Travanti!" (Remember "The Night of Jan. 16" and the 9th grade class play?). I now live and work in Madison, WI, the greatest town in US-- well you remember. I plan tours for bus groups. Its fun. And I enjoy the arts, especially the new 200 million dollar Overture Center. Have you seen it? Its fabulous. I hear you live in Lake Forest. My family still lives in Kenosha-- my 2 sons with their families and my mother, 92, still living in that little house on Harding Rd. Remember? Anyway I divorced 22 years ago and love the single life here in Madison. I would really be thrilled to receive an email from you after all these years, if you could spare a few momemts. I know you're busy. The Chicago area is so much fun. I know because it was my stomping ground when I worked in Illinois from 1984 - 1994. Thru the years, I've wondered how you are and I hope you're well and are leading an exciting life. I know I am.Kindest regards,Sue Ensfield Peterson 608-332-5516

To the Travanty family. I remember the good times Bob, our friends & I had at school and in the Columbus Park area. Bob was always a good friend and an interesting guy to be with. 55th & 56th Streets were full of good friends. Years ago I talked to Bob on the phone occasionally and knew of his illness. He was one tough SOB to survive so long. Please accept our heartfelt condolences. Regards from an old friend. John Gregory

Dear Kathy and family, We are so sorry for your loss, but will always remember how funny and clever your dad was, and how he thought of others not just of himself. We wish we could be with you today, but are unable to make it to Kenosha. We made a donation in your dad's name on behalf of the Butts, Merrill, Reha, Olsen and Seidl families to the National MS Society. We hope in some way this will help another family. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you in this difficult time. All our love,Connie, Steve, Ben and Lizzy Seidl

Dear Rita, Marc, Cathy and Robbie:It certainly is the end of an era, Bob was bigger than life and a kind of a legend. I think the world is a smaller place now that he is gone. I always admired him and the love he inspired.Love, Lillian

I went to school with Robert's brother Dan. I don't know if Dan remembers me but I have a class of 58 e-mail group on line and I am sending condolences from our class to Dan for the loss of his brother. Our thoughts are with you Dan and the entire Travanty family. "Memories keep the one you loved close to you in spirit & thought & always in your heart, today & forever."

Rita, just to let you know that I will be missing Bob, a great mentor and a great friend. I couldn't believed he passed on to be with Lord, since I expected to see him this summer when I would be Kenosha. Just to also let you know that you were a terrific wife to him. God Bless you and Kathy, Robbie and Marc.

Hello,This is from Taiwan. Bob was a classmate and a good friend all the way back to 2d grade in our Bain school days. I recall his great energy and am truly sorry to hear of his troubles with MS and this sad news. Unfortunately, have lived abroad most of the time I kept in touch with news of Bob from Charlie Lombardi, Gene Bilotti, and Jim Komarec when I could. I pass on my deepest felt condolences to the whole Travanti family and am praying for Bob. May God receive Bob in the finest tradition. Regards, Emil Cinelli and family
