I am so sorry for your loss. All of use who worked at the Spot learned valuable lessons from your Dad about working and "doing it right" I have lots of fond memories of my few years there, and am thankful for the friendships that exist from the Spot days in the past. Thanks Harold, for making The Spot one of my favorite Kenosha memories. I always head back there when I visit from Florida.Nothing ever beats a SPotburger (except maybe a Root Beer Whirl)Laurie Smith Bodshaug (1974-1978)

Mike and I wish to express our sincere condolences to you and your family. We had very little contact with your father but knowing how he raised you and how competent and successful you have been since taking over the business - it is certainly reflected back to your father. Mike is also failing - he is disabled. Hence we had to close the business. We both wish you well and God bless.

My deepest sympathy for the lost of your dear husband and father. I worked at the Spot. It was my first job out of high school (l968)until l969. Harold was the nicest boss I ever worked for. I had fun working at the Spot. I remember him calling me blondie as I was always dying my hair. I live in the Seattle area now and when I come back to Kenosha every year me and my family always get a Spot burger. I'm always telling my family that the best job I ever had was working at the spot and what a nice boss Harold was. Harold will be missed dearly. I will always remember my days working for him. God Bless you and the Family. Sincerely, Beth Smith7623-66th Pl NE Marysville, WA 98270

I worked at The Spot in the early '60's. Harold and his wife were wonderful people. Chuck was a young boy and his parents couldn't have been more proud of him. Some of my fondest memories are the "after closing" early morning breakfasts at Greco's with Harold and the crew.My deepest sympathies to his wife, son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren. He will be missed by all who were fortunate to know him.Joann Myers

Our deepest sympathy on your families loss. Our prayers are with you all. When growing up and living in Kenosha I had to stop at the spot for my hamburger and fries. Still stop there on my trips to Kenosha. Some of my friends and family worked there when growing up. The Spot gave me some great memories. God Bless
