Florence Schippman Lees, 91, of Lake Geneva, passed away Thursday, February 23rd, 2006, at St. Catherine's Medical Center in Pleasant Prairie. Born October 28, 1914, in Glenview, IL, she was the daughter of the late William and Carolina (Lass) Lindeman. She was educated in the schools of Evanston, IL. She formerly resided in San Lorenzo, CA, Dublin, CA and Vacaville, CA, from 1981 to 2005 with her daughter Joanne Monson, and then moved to Lake Geneva, WI with her other daughter Kay McCall. On June 2, 1934, she married John Carl Schippman, Jr. He passed away April 6, 1970. She then married Joe Lees in July of 1989. He passed away in April of 1996. She had been employed by The Bradford Exchange in Morton Grove, IL, and was secretary for the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Evanston, IL. She enjoyed art classes, pottery, ceramics, painting, music and reading. Surviving are two daughters, Kay (Jack) McCall of Lake Geneva, WI, and Joanne (Eric) Monson of Vacaville, CA; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ervin and Frederich Lindeman; a sister, Helen Hart; and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Monson. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 4th, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2727 Lake Avenue, Wilmette, IL, at 1:00 pm. Interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Skokie, IL. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
