Kirby Ray Bruff, 84, of Kenosha, passed away Friday, February 17th, 2006, at United Hospital System - Kenosha Campus. Born on September 23, 1921, in Alcorn, MS, he was the son of the late Margie and Ada (Dawson) Bruff. He moved here from Mississippi in 1950. He was in the United States Army during World War II. He entered the service on October 5, 1944, and was honorably discharged on December 28, 1944. On November 23, 1940, in Fulton, MS, he married Mamie Johnson. He was employed for a short time by Vincent-McCall and later at American Motors for 32 years. He had been a member of Temple Baptist Church in the '60's and later attended Fellowship Baptist Church. Kirby loved dogs. He was a member of UAW Local #72, Ke-Nash-A Club and Sheridan Lanes Sunday Night League. He enjoyed watching wrestling on TV, hunting, fishing and bowling. He also enjoyed working on cars. Surviving are his wife, Mamie; a son, Billy R. (Doris) Bruff of Kenosha; a brother, Mark (Nell) Bruff of Mississippi; two grandchildren, Christopher (Suzanne) Bruff of Pleasant Prairie and Tracie (Ryan Lauritsen) Bruff of Kenosha; and two great-grandchildren, Katie Hill and Max Bruff. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Elzie, Frank and Robert Bruff. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 21st, at 10:00 am at Proko Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
