Marjorie H. Wade, 96, of Kenosha, passed away on Saturday, January 7th, 2006, at Clairidge House in Kenosha. Born on June 1, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Willard and Helen (Iverson) Goodman. She attended local schools and was a lifelong resident of Kenosha. On November 16, 1930, in Valparaiso, IN, she married Norman J. Wade. He preceded her in death on May 26, 1975. She worked in the office of American Brass, then to American Motors and finally onto the Simmons Company. She was a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church, charter member of the Kenosha Little Theater, Catholic Woman's Club, Kenosha Woman's Club, and St. Catherine's and Kenosha Hospital Auxiliary. She was also in charge of Senator John Kennedy's local headquarters, and attended his inauguration. She is survived by her three daughters, Nancy Wade and Marilyn (Lou) Svete, both of Kenosha, and Gay Wade of Statesboro, GA; two grandchildren, Craig Svete and Steven (Tara) Sheldon; and a great-granddaughter, Lethrenn Sheldon. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Audrey Mae Lewis; three brothers, Clarence, Chester and Burnell Goodman; and a sister, Alice Mowrey. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 12th, from St. Mary's Catholic Church at 1:00 pm. Private interment at All Saints Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
