Irene L. Nuttall, 82, late of Mission, TX, formerly of Kenosha, passed away on Thursday, January 5th, 2006 in McAllen, TX. Born on November 14, 1923, in Tomah, WI, she was the daughter of the late William and Lorna (Kohl) Brown. She received her education in the schools of Tomah, and moved to Kenosha in 1963 from New Lisbon. On September 7, 1943, at St. Paul's Lutheran in Tomah, WI, she married Marvin Nuttall. She worked as an activity aid and nurse’s aid at Brookside Care Center for twenty years, until her retirement in 1985. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Women of the Moose, and Past President of the VFW Auxiliary 1865. She was a bingo enthusiast and loved watching wrestling. She is survived by her husband, Marvin of Mission, TX; two sons, Ralph (Clara) Nuttall of Racine, and Donald (Judy) Nuttall, Sr., of Kenosha; two daughters, Barbara (Scott) Thomas of Kenosha, and Elaine (Darryl) Russell, of Westfield, WI; nine grandchildren, Clint, Andrea, Jesse, Cindy, and Barbara Nuttall, Donald (Sarah) Nuttall, Jr., Amy (Rod) Bakkala, and Michael, Keith Thomas; and two great-grandchildren, Jordan and Cali Bakkala. She was preceded in death by her son, Richard in 2003; granddaughter, Christina Thomas; two brothers, Roger Kohl and Charles Brown; and a sister, Carol Mae White. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 11th, from Proko Funeral Home at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
