Gale Frank POST
Gale F. "Postman" Post, 53, of Kenosha, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 28th, 2005. Born January 29, 1952, in Fond du lac, WI, he was the son of George and Jeanette Post. He moved from Fond du lac to Kenosha in 1973, moved to Antigo in 1988, and returned to Kenosha in 1996. He entered the United States Army on March 20, 1969, and served during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged on March 20, 1971. He served with the 335th Co. 145 Aviation Company and received the Vietnam Service medal and the Vietnam Campaign medal. He was married to Debra Williams in 1972 and later divorced. He then married Cheryl Elridge in 1980 and they later divorced. He was a member of the Sin City Riders and UAW Local 72. He enjoyed hunting, motorcycle poker runs, playing Texas Hold'em, and loved spending time with his family. He played on the Polar Country Club softball league in Antigo. He was a very kind and gentle man with a big heart, always willing to lend a hand. Surviving are four children, James Lee Post, Jessica (Timothy) St. Peter, Kristopher Gale Post and girlfriend Tonya Rottman, and Joshua William Post, all of Kenosha; his mother, Jeanette Jensen; a son-in-law, Jason Barthule of Kenosha; three sisters, Georgine (Butch) Fritz, Peggy (Glen) Wadusky and Chris (Mike) Martin, all of Fond du lac; two brothers, Fred (Diane) Post of Omro, and Gary Post of Byron; his former wives, Debra Nelson of Pleasant Prairie, and Cheryl Post of Kenosha; six grandchildren, Taylor and Russell Barthule, Taia Miller, Katie Post, and Mialee, and Mason St. Peter; lifelong friends, Jim, Lori and Tom Williams; three nephews; and seven nieces. He is preceded in death by his father. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 3rd, at Proko Funeral Home at 10:30 am. Interment will take place at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park Cemetery with full military honors. Gale what happened. I retired almost 4 years ago from Department 830 A line where I worked with you. We had so much fun over there. The squirt gun fights, you scaring me all the time. Now you only retired a short time ago and you didnt get to enjoy it for long. I hope you and Tom are riding your motorcycles in the sky. God bless you and I will miss you. You was a very kind man.
