Mariann Steinmetz, 64, of Kenosha passed away Friday, December 2nd, 2005, at her residence. Born February 19, 1941, in Kenosha, she was the daughter of the late Truman J. and Ann S. (Scott) Scholey. She was a lifelong resident of Kenosha, attending Roosevelt Grade School and graduating from Mary D. Bradford High School. On November 28, 1959, she married Carl Steinmetz. Mariann and Carl just celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary. She had been employed by Snap-On Tools, retiring in 1996. A member of the First United Methodist Church, she enjoyed golfing and bowling. She participated in Snap-On's Golf League. Mariann very much loved and enjoyed being with her grandchildren, and was their biggest fan and cheerleader at their sporting events. She also loved her vacation home in Wild Rose, WI. Surviving are her husband, Carl of Kenosha; two sons, Bruce M. (Laure) Steinmetz of Racine, and Dale C. (Jayne) Steinmetz of Pleasant Prairie; two brothers, Robert D. (Delores) Scholey of Pleasant Prairie, and Duane (Debbie Magill) Scholey of Brooksville, FL; her six grandchildren, Michael, Shea and Neil Steinmetz, and Megan, Matthew and Marisa Steinmetz; and one great-grandchild, Kaleb Steinmetz. She was preceded in death by her parents; her step father, George C. Frederick; her mother and father-in-law, Karl and Francis Steinmetz; and a nephew, Bobby D. Scholey, on April 28, 2004. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 5th, at Proko Funeral Home at 12:00 noon. Interment to follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
