Anita Marie PETERMARK
Anita Marie Petermark (aka- Pietromartire), 89, of Kenosha, passed away Saturday, November 5th, 2005, at Aurora Medical Center. Born in Chicago on October 26, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Lucia (Salce) Pietromartire. She was educated at Bowen High School in Chicago, before moving to Kenosha in September of 1964. She was a clerk for the U.S. Army-U.S. Air Force at Midway/Douglas Airports from 1942 until 1953. Anita also worked for the U.S. Navy at Great Lakes Training Center from 1966 until her retirement in January of 1977. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and Ladies Society, Friends of Italian Culture, and the Immigration History Research Center at the University of Minnesota in St. Paul, Minnesota. Surviving are her niece, Lucy Petermark of New York, NY; two great nephews, Stephen (Jackie) Santilli of Anchorage, AK, and Marco Santilli of Madison; two great nieces, Gina (Duane) Sturino of Kenosha, and Kathi-Ann (Mitch) Swanson of Green Bay, WI; and seven great-great nieces and nephews, Anthony, Dominic and Sydney Sturino, Logan and Caden Swanson, and Vincent and Lauren Santilli. She was preceded in death by three brothers, S/SGT Gene Petermark in 1959, Henry Petermark in 1988, and Leno Petermark in 2003; a sister, Bettina Santina Santilli in 1978; and a nephew, Laurence Santilli in 1988. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, November 9th, at the Proko Funeral Home at 9:30 am. Mass to be held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church at 10:00 am. Entombment to follow at All Saints Mausoleum.
