Bernice L. Lusignan, 90, of Kenosha, passed away Monday, October 17th, 2005, at Brookside Care Center. Born in Ashland, WI, on October 26, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Helen (Powarser) Peletowski. She came to Kenosha as a young girl and attended St. Peter Grade School, Central Jr. High and graduated from Bradford High School. On August 25, 1936, at St. Peter Church, she married Vincent Alan Lusignan. He preceded her in death on September 2, 1979. She had been employed at Kresege Dollar Store, Grebes Bakery, Higgins Hob Nob Restaurant and Irving Furrier Ladies Shop. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, and a former member of St Thomas Aquinas Church and their Altar Sodality. She really enjoyed golfing, at one time or another she played every golf course in the county. Surviving are her two sons, James (Barbara) of Gurnee, IL, and Ed (Kathleen) of Kenosha; three daughters, Bonnie Hoag of Brookfield, and Lynn (Gary) Zerovec and Linda (Victor) Kosman, both of Kenosha; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, and two brothers. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 20th, at the Proko Funeral Home at 10:30 am. Mass to be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at St. George Cemetery.
