Edna Mae KELLMAN
Edna M. Kellman, 82, of Kenosha, passed away Friday, October 14th, 2005, at her residence. Born in Kenosha on October 8, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Ella (Christensen) Jensen and her stepfather Harry Petzold. She attended local schools, Columbus Elementary School, Lincoln Jr. High School and a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School. On January 31, 1942, she married Ralph Kellman. He passed away February 16, 1975. She had been employed as cashier and assistant manager of the Orpheum Theater and a cashier at Jewel Food Stores. She then was the assistant manager of Payless Shoe Store for 10 years until her retirement. She was member and Second Trustee Danish Sisterhood, former member of the Retail Clerks Union and member of the Kenosha Senior Citizens. Edna enjoyed reading light fiction, computer work, and bowling. Surviving are her three daughters, Lynn (Melvin) Petts of Kenosha, Jill Johnston of Loyal, WI, and Terry (Bill) Johnson of Kenosha; a sister, Eloise (Charles) Roub of St. Paul, MN; brother-in-law, Robert Hopper of Ft. Meyers, FL; brother and sister in-law, Russell (Dorothy) Kellman of Kenosha; six grandchildren, Michael, Steven and Daniel Petts, Jeremiah Johnston, and Billy and Randy Johnson; and her five great-grandchildren, Amanda, Katie, Andrew, Christopher and Rachael Petts. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a brother, Lee Andrew Jensen on November 1, 1921; and a sister, Bernice Hopper in 2001. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 18th, at 10:00 am at Proko Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Terry, Bill, Billy and Randy, We were sad to hear of the passing of your mom and sorry that we are unable to be there with you.
