Margaret E. Hains, 81, of Kenosha, passed away Saturday, October 8th, 2005, at St. Catherine's Medical Center. Born May 24, 1924, in Chicago, she was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Schutz) Pasternak. She was educated in the schools of Chicago. On June 1, 1946, she married Milan Hains in Chicago, and then came to Kenosha. He preceded her in death on April 20, 1974. She was employed as a receptionist at the Kenosha Urology Clinic, retiring in 1986. Margaret was a former member of St. Mary Catholic Church and was currently a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church. In her younger years she was active as a Girl Scout Leader. She was a volunteer with St. Catherine's Auxiliary and also enjoyed gardening, sewing, shopping, cooking, and was known for her Christmas cookies. Above all, her grandchildren and their activities were the love of her life. Survivors include three daughters, Kathy (Daniel J.) Smith, Carol (Charlie) Sichmeller, and Judy Hains, all of Kenosha; six grandchildren, Scott (Becky) Sichmeller, Bradley (Beth) Smith, Douglas Sichmeller, Adam (Lindsey) Smith, Sarah (Dan) Salmon, and Eric Sichmeller; four great-grandchildren, Grace Sichmeller, Emersen Smith, Davan Smith, and Paige Sichmeller; and her special friend, Ray Kolkmann. She was preceded in death by a brother, George, in infancy. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 12th, at the Proko Funeral Home at 9:30 am. Mass to be celebrated at St. Anne's Catholic Church at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at St. George Cemetery.
