My cousin Karen was the youngest granddaughter of what was a very close Cairo Family. Karen was a very loving person and touched the hearts of those she was close to. It was not unusual for Karen to pick up the phone and call me or my mother just to talk. Her love for her father was unconditional. Fred said it best when describing Karen's personality as child like. She enjoyed the simple things in life. I will miss her smile, her laugh and the many hugs I received from her every meeting. When ever we closed a conversation or went on our way Karen never failed to tell me she loved me. I will miss her.

I cannot believe almost 5 years have gone by since we lost Karen. She was such a kind and loving person, very deeply missed by all. Since I was a baby, she always was in my life. As a young boy and through my teenage years, we spent a lot of time together, riding bikes, going to the arcade, going swimming or just hanging out, joking around. She never had a bad word to say about anybody, and never complained. Her smile, her laugh and big hugs are definitely missed. Your nephew, Todd
