Lorraine A. Montemurro, 80, of Kenosha, passed away on Saturday, October 1st, 2005, at Aurora Medical Center. Born January 10, 1925, in Kenosha, she was the daughter of the late Gaetano and Domenica (Bilotti) Montemurro. She received her education in local schools and was a lifetime resident of Kenosha. She was most recently employed as a department manager for Sears in the lingerie and children's department, until her retirement in 1985. She was also employed at the Dixie Shop in Kenosha and at Lerner's Shop, as a store manager. Lorraine belonged to a walking group that met at Market Square, was a former member of the Italian American Women's Auxiliary and did volunteer work at St. Catherine's Hospital. She loved to travel the U.S. and liked to watch cooking shows. She was a Packer fan and enjoyed the opera and classical music. Lorraine was an Honorary Colonel from the Kentucky Derby and enjoyed dining out with friends and relatives. She is survived by her niece, Deborah (Larry) Miller of Kenosha; God-daughter, Julie (Chris) Halberstadt and their daughter Erica; nephews, Tom Perrone of Chicago, and Matthew and Michael Miller of Kenosha; special cousin, Roberta (Lester) Perugini of Kenosha; and many other friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her brother, Tom Montemurro. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 4th, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church at 11:30 am. Interment to follow at St. George Cemetery.
