Helen RIZZOTTO
Helen Rizzotto, 95, of Kenosha, passed away Sunday, August 21st, 2005, at St. Mary's Hospital in Racine. Born in Centerville, Iowa, on January 6, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Josephine (Pauletti) Bertelle. She moved from Centerville to Kenosha in 1925 and has resided here ever since. She married Charles Rizzotto in Kenosha in 1937. He preceded her in death in January 1987. She was employed as a seamstress at Cooper's for 25 years. She was a charter member of the Antique Car Club of America and of the Classic Car Club of America, and a former member of the Alpine Club. Surviving are her sister-in-law, care giver and soul mate, Mary Bertelle of Kenosha; nieces and nephews, Aldina Bertelle of Kenosha, Donald Bertelle of Chicago, and Sandra Bertelle, Franklin Bertelle, Annette Gentile, Cecilia Ingram, Barbara Wooden, Josephine Dalla Santa, Frank Furlin, all of Kenosha; and grand nieces and nephews and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Corrine Scopel and Mary Lovison; two brothers, Frank and John Bertelle; nephew, Joe Furlin; and a grand nephew, Tony Wooden. Helen led a simple yet full life blessed with family and friends who loved and adored her for her unconditional love, her frankness, her humor, her cooking, and her support whenever someone was in need. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to all those who provided Helen with loving care and/or company over the past two years. A special thank-you to Jennifer and Asher Paal and Jeannie Schiurmann. The medical and nursing staff in the E.R. and especially on 2C, the Medical-Respiratory Unit of All Saints Medical Center, provided expert and compassionate care for Helen. Her passing was peaceful and comfortable. The support and empathy shown the family was greatly appreciated. Thank-you Tonia Payton, CNA, for your devotion to excellent patient-care. Thank you to Dr. Martin and Dr. Mullane for extending Helen's life through your wisdom and expertise. Thank-you to Dr. Culen and Dr. T. Purath for your compassion, empathy and proficiency and allowing Helen to pass with dignity. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 24th, at 10:00 a.m. at Proko Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
