Charles E. UPRIGHT

Charles Upright, 80, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away on Friday, June 10th, 2005, at Kenosha Medical Center. Born on November 2, 1924, in Oshkosh, WI, he was the son of the late Joseph and Ellen (Kastman) Upright. He was enlisted in the U.S. Army in the 28th Division. He served in the European Theater and was awarded two purple hearts, five battle stars and the Oakleaf Cluster. He was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant. In 1945, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Kenosha, he married Lucille Lindsay. He was employed as a salesman at Reed-Randle Ford in Waukegan for 30 years until his retirement in 1985. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Surviving are his wife, Lucille of Pleasant Prairie; and a brother, Harding (Irene) Upright of Kenosha. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Herbert and Frank. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 15th, at Trinity Lutheran Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at Trinity Lutheran Church.
