Hectorine Cormier, 94, late of Milwaukee, formerly of Kenosha, passed away Thursday (May 5th, 2005) at St. Anne's Rest Home in Milwaukee. Born May 20, 1910 in Jacquet River, Prov. of New Brunswick, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Gertrude (LeCouffe) Elsliger. She was educated in the schools of Jacquet River, Canada, coming to Kenosha in 1951 where she lived until moving to Milwaukee in 1990. On July 31, 1940, she married Paul L. Cormier in Montreal, Canada. He passed away January 8, 1990. She was a former member of St. George Catholic Church, a current member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Greendale, WI, and also was a volunteer at St. Joseph's Hospital in Milwaukee. Surviving are a daughter, Yolande (Gene) Lasky of Franklin, WI; and two grandchildren, Stephen and Jeffrey. She was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 9th, at 6:30 p.m. at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 6060 W. Loomis Rd., Greendale, WI. Private interment will be at St. George Cemetery in Kenosha.
