Valentina LEVIS
Valentina Levis, 87, of Kenosha, passed away Wednesday (March 30th, 2005) at Kenosha Medical Center. Born in Baltic Mine, MI, on May 15, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Natale and Rose (Ciucci) Maraccini. She moved to Kenosha from Michigan in 1929 with her family and graduated from Kenosha High School. On June 7, 1941, at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, she married Elso Richard Levis. He passed away July 22, 1995. As a young adult she was very active in her church. She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Italian American Ladies Auxiliary and The Miraculous Medal Society-National Organization. Valentina was also a proud grandmother who enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening, often with her grandchildren. Surviving are three children: Richard (Diane) Levis, Mary (Jack) Plovanich and Eileen (Bill) Paquin; and two sisters: Laura Bianchi and Olga Fazio all of Kenosha. She is also survived by two granddaughters: Maureen Levis (Wolfgang Weritsch) and Katie Plovanich; two step grandchildren: Rebecca (Owens) Walker and Tom (Athene) Paquin; and two step great-grandchildren: Haley and Victoria Walker. She is further survived by loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Louis Maraccini and Hugo Pucci. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 4th, at Proko Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at All Saints Mausoleum. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 until 5 p.m. at Proko Funeral Home. Dear Mary,In viewing the obituaries for Wally Walker (Mary's Dad) I came across the one of your Mother. I am sorry to read that. Our condolences, though belated, go our to you and the family.I am still working, even at 81. I am a bailiff in the courts out here in Walworth County.
