Carlton Taylor, 67, of Kenosha, died Sunday (December 19th, 2004) at Kenosha Medical Center. Born in Morrisville, MS, on June 26, 1937, he was the son of the late Eddie and Velma (Hood) Taylor. He attended school in Mississippi, coming to Kenosha in the 1950s. On Aug. 26, 1973, he married Gloria J. Burbey. A drywaller, he was self-employed for over 50 years. He was an avid fisherman. Survivors include his wife of Kenosha; two sons, Ed (Tonya) Taylor of Illinois and Joel Jennings of Racine; four daughters, Teresa Leith of Tennessee, Ruth (Roosevelt) Cobbs of Tennessee, Carol Connelly of Salem, and Kerriann Taylor of Kenosha; three brothers, James (Mary) Taylor of Illinois, Mort (Debbie) Taylor of Arkansas, and Larry (Teresa) Taylor of Tennessee; three sisters, Polly (Robert) Creekmore of Illinois, Dot (David) Dickerson of Mississippi, and Nel (Bill) Jones of Florida; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were two brothers, Cortez and Willard Taylor.
