Deidre Harvey, a beloved mother, devoted friend, and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2026 at the age of 65.
Born on June 23, 1960, in Jackson, MS, the daughter of Porter Sibbie and Dorothy (Thomas) Walker-Milner. She was a proud graduate of Provine High School and went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Belhaven University in Jackson, Mississippi.
Deidre was a devoted mother. She poured her heart into raising her children, always placing their needs and well-being above her own. Her love was steady, selfless, and unwavering—a foundation that shaped the lives of those she held most dear.
She had a joyful spirit that could light up any room. Known for her infectious laughter, Deidre loved to joke and bring smiles to those around her. She never met a stranger; her kindness and openness made everyone feel welcome, valued, and seen.
Deidre is survived by her mother; children, Arlandra Harvey and Aeryka Harvey; grandchildren, Anya Davis, Alexie Joi Harvey, and Aeryn Nicole Harvey; siblings, Lynn Thomas, Fernando Harvey, Roderick Harvey, Janie Maria Walker, and Ramla Walker-Hakeem. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition her father, Deidre is preceded in death by her son, Alexis Rashaad Harvey; and sister, Renalda K. Harvey.
Deidre leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion. She will be deeply missed by her children, family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
