Daniel Lenegar

1946 ∼ 2026

Daniel Lenegar

With great sadness, we announce that Daniel W. Lenegar, lovingly known as Dan, went home to Jesus on August 9, 2026, at the age of 80.

Dan was born to Francis and Rosalie Lenegar on May 31, 1946, in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

He met his wife, Sandra Kless, at a party in 1963. They married on August 20, 1966, and were blessed with two sons, Dan and Michael.

A devoted and loving father, Dan cherished time outdoors hunting and musky fishing with his boys. He also enjoyed working in the yard, visiting casinos, and going on outings with his wife. Proud of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Dan later found faith and built a strong relationship with God, which he shared with those around him. He was an active member of St. Therese Catholic Church.

Dan is reunited in Heaven with his wife, Sandi; his parents, Roy and Rosalie; his sisters, Mary Lemke and Nancy Sorrell; his brother, Rev. John Lenegar; his brothers-in-law, Rick Pickos and Ken Kless; his sister-in-law, Terri Butterbrodt; his mother-in-law, Joan Kless; his nephew, Mathew Pickos; and his niece, Tracy Kless.

He is survived by his sister, Kathy; his sons, Daniel and Michael; his grandchildren, Rebecca, Corey, Adam, Erin, Natalie, and Rosalie; and his great-grandchildren, Faye, Brynn, Charlotte, Jayce, Jaxson, Quinn, Adelynn, Madison, and Gabriella.

A memorial gathering, honoring Dan’s life, will be held Friday, August 28th, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church, 2020 91st St, Kenosha, until the time of the Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery.

The following verses reflect the faith and comfort Dan carried with him and shared with those he loved:

John 11:25-26

“Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die.”

Exodus 23:20

“See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared.”
