A Life Remembered

Obituary

Christopher “Jelly Belly” Laurin, 61, of Kenosha, WI, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 2, 2026, with his longtime girlfriend, Julie, by his side.

Chris will be remembered for his dry wit, unique sense of humor, and the countless laughs he shared with family and friends. He had a passion for riding motorcycles and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with the people he cared about.

Many knew Chris simply as “Jelly Belly,” a nickname he earned during his years as a long-time truck driver for the Jelly Belly Candy Company. Although he eventually moved on from the company, the nickname stayed with him for the rest of his life, and for many, it became the name they knew him by.

Chris also had a generous heart and quietly supported causes that were important to him, including the Wounded Warrior Project and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Chris is survived by his longtime girlfriend, Julie Rzeplinski. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald Laurin and Judith (Johnson) Licht.

A Celebration of Life honoring Christopher “Jelly Belly” Laurin will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the Brat Stop / Parkway Chateau, 12304 75th Street, Kenosha, WI.

Though Chris’s journey has come to an end, the friendships he built, the laughter he shared, and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His legacy isn’t measured by the years in his life, but by the lives he touched along the way.
