Cheryl F. Henthorn

Cheryl F. Henthorn, 85 years old of Kenosha, WI passed away Sunday, July 5, 2026, at Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital, Pleasant Prairie, WI with her family.

She was born October 21, 1940, in Boyceville, WI the daughter of the late Arthur and Evelyn (Nygaard) Wahl. She graduated high school in Chippewa Falls, WI, and went on to attend college in Minnesota to become an x-ray technician. She met and married Gary Henthorn on February 3. They made their lives together in Janesville, WI and Davenport, IA before settling in Kenosha, WI with their two children Greg and Niki.

Cheryl worked as an x-ray technician before her retirement. Her family was the highlight of her life, and she was always putting everyone else first. In her younger years she enjoyed knitting and eventually card making with her daughter, and crafting. She loved to play cards with family and friends. The time she spent with her granddaughter Kristen was pure joy. She was always a cat lover, and friends would tell her they wanted to be reincarnated as one of her cats. She loved them all but had special bonds with Ontos and Captn’ Jack. Later she found love with two dogs Token and Reyka. She was a devoted mother, friend, wife and will be missed more than words can say.

Survivors include her husband Gary; her children, Greg (Pam) Henthorn of Colorado and Nikole Henthorn of Kenosha, WI; a granddaughter, Kristen (Vlad Munoz) Henthorn; and a niece Craig (Jane) Wahl. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Colin (Alyce) Wahl.
