Angela “Angie” Ruffolo, 79, of Kenosha, WI, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on November 8, 1946, in Marano Principato, Province of Cosenza, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Rosa (Scarlato) Ruffolo. She came to the United States when she was 6 years old. She graduated from St. Joseph High School. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Cardinal Stritch.
Angie was employed as a teacher for over 40 years with Kenosha Unified School District. She spent many of those years teaching at Forest Park Elementary School. She then moved into an administrative role with KUSD. She also taught at St. Mary Catholic School, Holy Rosary Catholic School, and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic School. In later years, she became a Remedial Reading Specialist and even after retirement continued to tutor.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Kenosha Educators Association. She was the head of Religious Education at Holy Rosary Catholic Church for many years. She was an avid reader, she kept up a diary, stayed informed on current events, was a social butterfly at Brookside Manor, where she read the newspaper to the residents every weekend. She also liked to crochet and travel.
Angie is survived by her brother, Sam A. Ruffolo of Kenosha, WI; nephew, Keith (Katie) Ruffolo; niece, Lindsey Ruffolo; great nieces, Maddy and Emily Ruffolo; great nephew, Ryan Ruffolo; and other loving family. Angie is also survived by two special friends, Sister Mary Ellen Ward and Kathy Tenuta. Their friendship was so appreciated by Angie.
She was also preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Christine “Chris” Ruffolo; and her niece, Samantha Ruffolo.
Angie’s family would like to thank everyone at Brookside Care Center for the wonderful help and care over the past 10 years; everyone at the dialysis center at Froedtert South for their many years of kind and excellent care; and many, many thanks to the staff at the ICU Unit of Froedtert South, their care and compassion was so helpful during Angie’s final days.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at St. Mary Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Entombment in All Saints Mausoleum will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Mary Catholic Church or St. Joseph Catholic Academy would be appreciated by the family.

Angie will forever be remembered for her positive disposition and also her selfless and kind spirit. She will be greatly missed.
