Obituary for Harold C. Burke

Harold C. Burke
Harold C. Burke, 76, of Kenosha, passed away on Friday, May 18, 2018, at Froedtert South, Kenosha Medical Center Campus.
Born in Bushnell, Fla., on September 12, 1941, he was the son of the late Willie and Bertie (Jackson) Burke. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha.
On September 22, 1962, he married Judith Brown in Kenosha.
Harold was employed with American Motors Corporation/Chrysler for more than 36 years until his retirement in 1997. He was a member of the UAW Local 72 retirees, Ke-Nash-A Club, Burlington Liars Club, and the Tama Tribal Town. He was a fan of the rodeo and blue grass music, and enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing, trapping, and reading. He had a great love of history and traveled extensively throughout the United States, visiting 49 of the 50 states – only missing Hawaii. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Judith Burke of Kenosha; his daughter, Sheila (Wayne Hendricks) Burke of St. Paul, Minn.; two brothers, Hozie (Laura) Burke and Edward Burke; four sisters, Winnie Lewis, Ann (Eugene) Lawson, Ruth Mills and Linda Eastman; three grandchildren, Sophia, Maxton and Ruby; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Clyde Burke and twins Bobby and Dolly Burke, in infancy.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 23, at Proko Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Green Ridge Cemetery.
